GIMENEZ-E

Gimenez-E was born in France but from his early days was fascinated by the American black culture.
A ‘unique’ flava in the modern soul music is rising up from the mixture of his French roots ans US musical background.
He is what you’d call a phenomenom.
A top level multi-instrumentalist, fantastic stage performer, he is also blessed with a fantastic soulful voice that made Radio 1’s with his album ‘Bastard Melodies’ (available on iTunes https://itun.es/fr/AMeLu ).
Trevor Nelson even compared him to D’Angelo.

JOANA VARELA

Joana, born in France, from a lebanese mother and a capverdian father, was raised in a family of musicians, and made her first TV appearance at the early age of 3, singing on the hit french show, “L’école des fans.” 
She grew up listening to great classical composers and sounds of Motown, but spent her childhood studying classical violin and piano at the Toulouse Conservatory. 
At 18, developing a warm and sensual voice, she joined her father’s band, in which she sang for over a decade before starting a world tour for another 10 years.

Back in France in 2012, Joana Varela and her long-time soulmate Gimenez-E decided to join forces to crete a duet which will cover over 200 soul music classics from the 60s to 90s.

Internationally requested (Paris, Genève, Dubai) Soulmates Tribute is now proud to be the resident band at Bagatelle Dubai since 2017.

The french duet is definately synonymous with the Best Soul Music performances of their time...
